India

On cultural trips to India, you can experience Jaipur, also called the Pink City. Here it is especially the architectural marvel of the Hawa Mahal which is an impressive sight. In addition, with Tourist Travel you can experience India’s holiest city, Varanasi, due to its location on the Ganges River. It is said that if one bathes in the Ganges river at Varanasi, which is the city of the Hindu god Shiva, one’s sins will be forgiven. Here you will also get an insight into the Indian culture by e.g. the special evening ceremony, Aarti. Sarnath is located north of Varanasi and is a Buddhist place of pilgrimage, known as the place where the Buddha taught his first disciples and gave his first sermon. The immediate greatest cultural experience in India is the unique and mighty tomb monument, Taj Mahal. In the surrounding area there is an incredible calm despite the many tourists.

Nepal

On a cultural trip to Nepal with Tourist Travel, you will experience something unique every day. Experience the mystery of the East in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, which forms the fascinating world of all of Asia in one city. Kathmandu is packed with cultural attractions that are primarily dominated by Hinduism. You can visit Nepal’s most important Hindu temple, Pashupatihnat, as well as the largest, Taleju. Nepal’s largest and most important Buddhist stupa, the Bhoudanath, is also located here. In Patan you can experience the ancient kingdoms of the Kathamandu Valley and visit the royal square, Durbar Square. The Kathamandu Valley also features the Swayambhunath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It can be described as one of the hallmarks of Nepal with the all-seeing eye of the Buddha. The city of Bandipur is a true gem in the Himalayas, where, in clear weather, you can see the beautiful Himalayan mountains. Nepal also offers world-class safaris, where you get very close to Nepal’s answer to the Big Five on elephant backs. The above sights are just a small sample of what Nepal has to offer.

China

One of our popular and absolutely amazing cultural journeys is the great Transtibetan journey. Here you experience both China, Tibet and Nepal. During your stay in China, you will experience Beijing’s major sights, such as Tiananmen Square – one of the world’s largest squares – and the Forbidden City – one of China’s biggest tourist attractions. The journey also goes to China’s absolute biggest travel attraction, the 6,000 km long Great Wall of China. From China to Tibet you travel by the Trans-Tibetan railway, which takes 48 hours and is the most beautiful part of the trip, which i.a. goes through nature reserves. Both Tibet and Nepal will also offer lots of amazing cultural experiences on this trip. The Trans-Tibetan journey is packed with sumptuous cultural experiences, starting with passing through China, then northern Tibet and Lhasa to experience the high Himalayas and Mount Everest, before the trip goes to Nepal and Kathmandu. This is just a selection of the content of the trip.
